The Congress for the New Urbanism (CNU) lists Richmond, Virginia as having the 5th fastest population growth of the largest 25 U.S. traditional cities. The city of Richmond is noted for having a poulation growth of 7.9%, with New Orleans, Seattle, Washington, D.C., and Boston rounding out the top 5, and San Francisco following in 6th place. 1140 WRVA reports that Richmond International Airport will have direct flights to Pittsburg begining March 2017. OneJet announced it was adding the once-a-weekday round-trip flights. Learn more.

Today the Rchmond Times Dispatch reports that the Port of Virginia recorded its busiest month in October, with total volume up about 2 percent over the same month last year. At the Richmond Marine Terminal, volume was up 52 percent compared with the same month last year. Year-to-date, RMT volumne is up 32 percent. Learn more.

Jones announced that CoStar Group, the leading provider of commercial real estate information, analytics, and online marketplaces, will invest $8.17 million in a new research and software development center in Richmond, creating 732 new jobs.
